It certainly feels like it. I had met the Ex a view times and she is a nice sweet woman. She had this all planned out since state lockdown started a couple of months ago. They all decided my step-niece stay with her since BIL is an essential worker. She always got bummed around Mother’s day (not that we ever noticed since my mom had full custody of us and her birthday was also around that time) she got a little bit of happiness when my parents adopted my sister and she began calling my stepmom mom. Now that, that right there goes to show that parenting can sometimes have nothing to do with blood. And it can be thankless. Now that I’ve been having to work from home since mid-March (so basically 10 years) I see the day to day slog with my children. Shes even doing school.
