I lost my grandma to cancer. She didn’t even get to reach 60 and was as close as a mom to me. Saddest part I was away when this happened. She made the best homemade bread! When Carlin said “imagine your grandmother in hell baking pies without an oven” I couldn’t resist laughing. I love how in his next comedy special, he opens the set talking about how some people in the crowd seemed confused as to what he meant by “pussy farts”, and then goes into excruciating detail about what he meant. Would someone who gets this be able to explain it? I genuinely want to understand this, but I just don’t. A Mark Twain Of All The Things I’ve Lost I Miss My Mind The Most Vintage Shirt If You Tell The Truth You Don’t Have To Remember Anything Vintage Shirt critique of modern consumerism and its collective societal thinking around it.

It’s also a commentary on the language of the day. He’s satirizing the buzz words used in commercials or at tech conferences or in board room meetings to sell products/investments/technology, etc. I used to hate this intro but it’s grown on me. I think there is something more than clever wordplay. Knowing Carlin’s persona as a guy who hates the modern BS in the world, he’s using basically every trendy expression out there. After 4 minutes of it, you start to realize how silly it all is. How we’ve manufactured language to sound more advanced than we are but “it’s all bullshit (and it’s bad for you)”. To me, it’s more just piecing together a bunch of modern terms and sayings rather than actually getting a message across. That’s fine Mark Twain Of All The Things I’ve Lost I Miss My Mind The Most Vintage Shirt If You Tell The Truth You Don’t Have To Remember Anything Vintage Shirt if that is what it is, but people tend to talk about it like there’s something more there, and I don’t know what that more is.

I think another aspect of this is all the juxtapositions. He links all these words that are opposites but makes sense in the way he uses them, adds to the ridiculousness of the whole thing, and pokes fun at how our words mean so little when you actually think about them. Great response. I kinda felt the same way as icy flakes but this really explains that sarcastic tone to it all very well. Like “what the hell am I actually saying with all of this, and what is anyone else when they use these words? But doesn’t it SOUND cool??” I also wonder why we’re not talking about a graying old man being able to remember that much information. Truly impressive. I couldn’t do that. It shows that he’s not just an aging and angry old man. While the Mark Twain Of All The Things I’ve Lost I Miss My Mind The Most Vintage Shirt If You Tell The Truth You Don’t Have To Remember Anything Vintage Shirt is technically both, he is also still strong mentally. He’s combating aging stereotypes.
