Or they’re like me, born American, Culturally Canadian, and has a huge desire to emigrate because I share no ideologies, either politically or culturally with the vast majority of the country in which I reside. I mean even during the times your country’s administration didn’t resemble a dumpster fire, the gun, health care, and parental leave laws in the US were a bit of a head-scratcher… I’m sorry. It sucks to not be proud of the country you live in. I hope you make it over here one day! I had these feelings long before this administration and it just confirmed my beliefs that many people have been convinced not to change these policies as you mentioned. Well, I am biased, I was an immigrant myself. I was born in Iran and my family came to Canada when I was 3. temporarily at first but we never went back. My dad gave up a senior VP job and a pension to have nothing in Canada and I’m so grateful they made that sacrifice for us. While Canada is FAR from perfect, I wouldn’t choose to live anywhere else. It’s impossible to not be biased in some way for almost everything. Even then, I know Official I May Live In Pennsylvania But I’ll Always Have The Steelers In My DNA Shirt immigrants here that are actually against immigration which just completely stuns me. Come on up! Southern Ontario’s climate is a lot like PA’s, no acclimation required. You already know shitty winters and hot summers!
