I love customizing my leagues. As I mentioned before, I change the Wizards back to the Bullets. I also like to add the Seattle Supersonics and the Charlotte Bobcats to my league. But if I do too much customization, I get a message telling me that in order to proceed I have to enable online saving. I am at a complete loss as to why this would be the case. I have plenty of local storage available. So what reason is there for forcing me to enable online saves? Since I have no desire to anchor my private basketball universe to my internet connection, I have Awesome Just An Old Guy That’s A Better Pool Player Than You Shirt no choice but to keep my customizations to a minimum. Very annoying.

There are a bunch of on-the-fly settings that are not available in coaches’ settings. The game moves far too quickly to make all of these adjustments on the fly. So I always have to waste a timeout just to change these settings all at once. Things like tempo, rebounding, aggression, etc., should all be available ahead of time in coaches’ settings. So why aren’t they? If I don’t call a timeout it usually takes me two or three possessions to get these settings to where I want them to be. I’m sorry but that is just ridiculous. There used to be a time when the CPU would Awesome Just An Old Guy That’s A Better Pool Player Than You Shirt automatically sub out a player in early foul trouble. For some reason, this is not the case anymore.

Global player editing is awesome. I love it. But my only question is why is it incomplete? We cannot globally edit salary info. This is a very big deal because the game’s financial logic is still extremely flawed. The salary sliders seem to have little or no effect. A player’s financial ambition seems to have little or no effect. High-rated players are always going to demand a max contract. This makes it extremely difficult to run a league full of historic superstars. So I either have to be able to easily edit salaries or I just have to disable the salary cap Awesome Just An Old Guy That’s A Better Pool Player Than You Shirt (which can only be done when first creating my league). Trade logic is too predictably formulaic. I have yet to see teams offer any bad trades or accept any bad trades (unless I force them to).
