I thought it was funny to blame the patch. It was a joke superstition that I began to believe. I made memes. I sneered. I hated. It’s appearance just coincided with too many things: The catastrophic nose-dive after the All-Star break, Russ’s reckless inconsistency, Adams obviously trying -and often failing- to power through an injury, a bench that couldn’t give the starters time to rest or offer an alternative against a certain player… and then Russ’s decision to seek an Awesome Always Seek Knowledge Shirt ring elsewhere that triggered PG to torch his contract and Presti to burn whatever was left to the ground.
Always Seek Knowledge Shirt, Tank Top, V-neck, Ladies Tee For Men And Women

It wasn’t worth their time anymore. And the true fans were still in. Adams was still here and HEALTHY! Back to 100%. Maybe better than before. Then I noticed the team’s vibe was different. Russ and PG were gone. The sheer weight of those egos started letting some light through. Everyone had to pick up the slack that the Thunder live-or-died on. And everyone stepped up. And I started to root for every player. Not just the Awesome Always Seek Knowledge Shirt starters. Not just Russ. New, old, in between. Everyone. Schroder started to scrap. Not that he hadn’t before but more. If slack needed to be picked up, by-god he was going to be first in line.
Awesome Always Seek Knowledge Shirt, Sweatshirt, Hoodie

The games are a delight to watch. I’m a fan of everyone. They’re growing and improving. And working together as a team, not as a support system for a couple of superstars and a paycheck. Everyone is hungry. Everyone eager. Losses are disappointing but not devastating. Wins are orgasmic. I had no clue this would be my favorite season since 2012. (Fuck cupcake) Lean in and love the patch era. If I can blame it for the current state of the Thunder then I have to give it the credit. In the front when he was needed there. Backed off when others needed to be out front. Always leading, always teaching. Sometimes with the carrot, sometimes with the stick. Never with the Awesome Always Seek Knowledge Shirt attitude that he was God’s gift to basketball.
